About Powered
Meet Steve Hamilton, the director and founder of Powered. Steve has an impressive career spanning 17 years, during which time he has mastered all aspects of the electrical trade.
Hailing from Tauranga, Steve strongly connects with the Bay of Plenty region. He started as an electrical apprentice specialising in air conditioning, then expanded his expertise into the general electrical field, followed by several years as an industrial electrician.
Steve has worked internationally and in New Zealand, giving him the wealth of experience and knowledge he brings to every project. In London, Steve gained extensive electrical maintenance experience whilst working on prestigious properties such as commercial buildings in Sloane Square and the Saatchi Gallery.
After three years of successful commercial work in London, Steve led a team in Canada to wire a 27-storey, high-end apartment building in the centre of Vancouver. With Steve’s leadership, the project was completed on time and to the highest standards. Upon returning to New Zealand, he started a family.
